Harrisburg, PA - Harrisburg police arrested two students from Bishop McDevitt High School Thursday. The school evacuated students and faculty after a suspicious device was found on the property behind the high school building.

Harrisburg police, the FBI (website) and the Cumberland County bomb dog came to investigate. The device turned out to be a rubber ball with a cord attached to it with chewing gum. The principal says a male student admitted planting the fake device and was arrested. Sister Mary Anne Bednar/Bishop McDevitt principal, "I think the majority of the student body was upset but angry and outraged, one of the fellow students would do that and put all of us in this situation."

A second male student later came forward and said he was involved too and was also arrested. Bishop McDevitt will not identify the grades of the students and say they didn't give reason for doing it - only that they didn't think it would cause such a commotion.
