What the hell is going on with them? They are about to lose the entire subway series to the freaking METS? The Yankees are in first place in the AL East with a 50-28 record. The Red Sox, who they swept last week, are in 2nd place, 7 1/2 games behind. The METS on the other hand, having won Friday & Saturday are now a measly 40-39, they are 2 games out of first place, but everyone in that Division has a kind of crappy record.
It was just a horrible game today & I'm pissed off about it. They won 10-9 on Saturday & 11-2 on Friday (thank God I didn't watch that game, I'd be super pissed off).
Oh lord & don't even get me started on A-Rod. What the hell? He was 0 for 5 today and has only had 1 hit in his last 17 at bats!
Tom doesn't help when he rubs it in because he hates the Yankees. They could be playing Brother Bob from Kokomo's softball team and Tom would rub it in if they lost. Well, that would be deserved. They could be playing the superfriends with all their magical powers & Tom would still rub it in if they lost. But that's ok, because they Yankees will prevail, somehow!
Anyway, unintelligent sports rant done.
