Some stupid-ass senator from San Antonio has proposed adding kids weight & BMI to their report cards stating that parents should be just as concerned with their child's physical health as they are with their academic performance. WTF? Of course proponents are saying it would violate a child's privacy. I don't agree with that argument as, honestly, children don't have much of a right to privacy. They have a right not to be abused or mistreated, but not to privacy. I still don't think it's a good idea. Can you see report card day? "How much do you weigh? What's your BMI?" "I knew you were a fattie." If parents are concerned about their children's physical health, they should be getting them regular checkups where they would be aware of their weight!
