What the HELL happened to my Yankees last night? They lost to the Cleveland Indians 22-0!!!!! Are you kidding me? Now they're only 3 1/2 games in First. August 15 they were 10 1/2 games up! The 22 run loss tied the largest margin of defeat in a shutout since 1900, equaling the mark set in 1975 by the Pirates in a 22-0 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. The loss was the WORST in Yankees history. Good lord! They allowed 9 runs in the first 3 innings! This was also the Yankees 5th consecutive loss, the first time that's happened this season --and the first time since May 2003. The 22 runs allowed were the most ever given up by the Yankees in their home ballpark and the most runs they've allowed since 1928!
I know the Yankees have a payroll of 183.3 Million & the Indians have a payroll of 34.6 Million so I don't need the jokes or anyone putting down the Yankees. They played HORRIBLY.
