I found the *BEST* thing for my irritation with poor spellers. Since none of the major news wires have taken me up on my free offer to proofread their copy before posting, I have discovered Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreaders. (It was a USA Today hot site).

Basically what they do is web-based proofreading of the works associated with the digitization of the Public Domain into Project Gutenberg e-books. They break the work into individual pages so many proofreaders work on the same book at the same time.

I'm sure most of the books won't be to my liking, but I finally get to flex my proofreading skills. AND you can proofread as often or seldom as you like.

It feels good that I'll be contributing to the proper spelling of books that will go down in history. :)
